Theme 1 : Lotus Pond
The theme Lotus pond helps the students to get a good understanding of the shading techniques used in different elements of the painting. One of the most important element is the lotus flower, which is used extensively in mural painting. Shading of the lotus flower is done using thin lines. Without proper supervision and guidance it ends up as a normal shading. This is one such example from multiple elements present in the painting such as water, waves, leaves to name a few. Background finishing is another key element which is covered extensively in this theme.
